When we talk about lacto-fermentation, we generally refer to a salt-based vegetable fermentation.
Eating fermented vegetables is excellent for your health. The beneficial microorganisms that develop from fermentation:
- Optimize the nutritional value of vegetables
- Make food more digestible
- Create new vitamins
- Help us protect ourselves from harmful bacteria and viruses
