Equipment
- 1 Chopping board
- 1 Knife
- 1 mandoline slicer or peeler
- 1 Non-stick frying pan
- 1 Spatula
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread, not too thick (ideally sourdough bread)
- Cheese of your choice (Tomme, cheddar, Comté, Gruyère...)
- 3 tbsp. kimchi (drained and coarsely chopped if required)
- Butter or oil for cooking
Steps
- Slice the cheese thinly with a mandoline or peeler to ensure it melts perfectly.
- Lay the cheese slices on a slice of bread.
- Add the kimchi on top.
- Add more cheese and close with the second slice of bread.
- Heat a drizzle of oil over medium heat or a knob of butter until foamy.
- Place the grilled cheese on top and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, pressing lightly to ensure even cooking.
- Once golden brown and crispy, serve immediately!
